Went here every bit we walked through Paris. A lovely area with a nice mix of shops and bistros and prissy apartment buildings.
More commercial than touristy so information technology's nice to be among typical Parisians.Written March thirty, 2022

This is a beautiful square surrounded by these beautifully kept houses. Such a lovely place to walk effectually and lots to run into. There are lots of art galleries and restaurants and also hither while you're here you can visit la Maison du Victor Hugo which is gratuitous. A great identify to come up sit in the park and relax.
Some history:
The Place des Vosges, originally Place Royale, is the oldest planned square in Paris, French republic. It is located in the Marais district, and information technology straddles the dividing line between the 3rd and quaternary arrondissements of ParisAmazing square, great location, a cracking place to have pictures or relax in the park. Highly recommed.

Wow I have never e'er experienced such a moving and really difficult display earlier. I didn't accept whatsoever expectations prior just I was not prepared for what was on display - the huge array of photographs, the wealth of information including statistics, letters from loved ones in the concentration camps to their loved ones at dwelling house and to never return, the wall of names of those perished and pictures of near 11000 children who perished. I accept to return as I could only take in so much data. I cannot recommend enough this memorial as it probably is the worst act of human being tragedy. The lay-out of the permanent exhibition, lighting and spacing is all effective. This is by far the most tragic and moving exhibition I take ever been to. And to come away with more than information about how the rest of world just turned a blind middle to this disgusting human action of human being cruelty.

It's definitely worth a visit, espcially the 2nd floor, where the rooms are decorated. The staff was fantastic - dainty and helpful!

As far as house museums go, I have to say the Cognacq-Jay was an enjoyable diversion. A mannerly collection of eighteenth-century painting, sculpture, and practical arts tastefully organized in a comfortable setting. From Fragonard and Boucher to maybe less famous artists, collector Ernest Cognacq really had a good eye. And different the musée de la Vie romantique, one really felt welcome hither- a cozy place to stroll from room to room. Information technology'southward non a huge place, but worth seeking out for the art enthusiasts out there.

Really a must visit. The food purveyors are infrequent and there are numerous in market places to consume besides as to buy. Very popular with neighbourhood regulars and not too touristy. Not overly big but quaint and rustic. Very enjoyable mix of foodies, flaneurs and favoured customers.

Nosotros walked past at well-nigh 6.30 on a Fri evening after walking forth the banks of the Seine. Equally we had an hour before dinner we decided to come across if it was open, equally it looked quite closed up.
Imagine our surprise to observe not only was it open but there was a lively and unusual service going on, involving numerous people up at the chantry wearing white cloaks pulled over their heads.
Nosotros stood at the very back of the church building as a few people came in and joined the congregation.
We could see the wonderful stained glass around the altar.
Now, having read upwardly on the interesting history of the church I volition definitely try to visit the next time I am in Paris.
